Our guineas are Assorted colors only. We hatch Pearl, Lavender, Purple, and Slate. We send as many colors as available on hatch day. You can suggest what color you would prefer and we will send that color if it is available at time of hatch. Final color selection, however, is our choice.
Guineas grow fast, feather fast, and are very easy to raise with lots of spunk and stamina. They love to eat lots of bugs and grasshoppers as well as TICKS! Busy from dawn to dusk, they make a full day out of eating insects. Their meat is delicious and has a taste similar to pheasant.
Most guineas start laying in late April or early May and usually continue through September. Their eggs are considered a delicacy and taste sweeter than chicken eggs. Raise baby guineas just like you would turkey poults, EXCEPT NEVER GIVE THEM MEDICATION OF ANY KIND.
