We are one of the oldest mail-order hatcheries in the Nation. We ship baby poultry through the United States Post Office. Baby Poultry, just before they hatch, absorb the yolk of the egg into their abdomen. This allows them to be shipped for up to 72 hours without food or water, since mother nature provides them with this "built-in" food reserve. PLEASE NOTICE - you may pick your poultry up at the hatchery if you wish. However, you must order in advance with a 50% deposit (you can pay the balance when you pick up your chicks) and we will then give you a date to pick up. We give a "Pick-Up Allowance" for Baby Chicks as follows: From the Catalog Price, deduct as follows: For 25 - $5.00; for 50 - $7.50; and for 100 - $10.00. We are Open To The Public from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, we are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Country Hatchery is the oldest and largest Mail-Order Hatchery in the State of Oklahoma. We are fully licensed to produce and sell baby poultry. GUARANTEE We guarantee that you will receive your order in tip-top shape. We want you to receive the full amount of poultry that you order. In most all instances, your poultry will be insured for safe arrival. Most all shipments arrive perfectly. Should something happen enroute, instructions are on the label to make things right. PULLETS -- We guarantee 90% accuracy on pullet orders. We do not guarantee sex on cockerels. Unsexed or Straight Run babies come to you exactly as mother nature provides, usually around 50% females and 50% males. POSTAGE All of our prices now include postage. Important Notice: If your order must be sent by Express, we will still pay for part of the shipping. Express Shipments must be used in some instances when the shipment goes to 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th zones. To determine your zone, go to your post office and give them our zip code - 74884. At the time of your order, should you live in one of these zones, we can quote the extra amount you must send for postage.
