Our guineas are Assorted colors only. We hatch Pearl, Lavender, Purple, and Slate. We send as many colors as available on hatch day. You can suggest what color you would prefer and we will send that color if it is available at time of hatch. Final color selection, however, is our choice.
Guineas grow fast, feather fast, and are very easy to raise with lots of spunk and stamina. They love to eat lots of bugs and grasshoppers as well as TICKS! Busy from dawn to dusk, they make a full day out of eating insects. Their meat is delicious and has a taste similar to pheasant.
Most guineas start laying in late April or early May and usually continue through September. Their eggs are considered a delicacy and taste sweeter than chicken eggs. Raise baby guineas just like you would turkey poults, TXCEPT NEVER GIVE THEM MEDICATION OF ANY KIND.

The Pilgrim is a medium-sized goose that is a great meat goose, yet is excellent for weeding. These geese have a very tame disposition and are not as aggressive as most other geese. They are great around children as they are very friendly and make great pets. Goose eggs are delicious to eat and their meat is considered a delicacy.
At complete feathering, the males are easily distinguishable from the females as the males will be mostly all white and the females will be mostly all grey. Our strain of Pilgrims are very good layers and their eggs hatch well. They love to eat lots of weeds and grass, but some grain at night is best for adult birds. Baby goslings should be fed a non-medicated 28% turkey, duck or gamebird starter. Medication of any kind will kill a goose. Start them at about 85 degrees F. to 90 degrees F. the first week, then lower the temperature about 5 degrees each week until no more heat is needed. Day-Onlk, Unsexed Only. Minimum shipped is 4 goslings.
